Abstrakt: Experimental samples are produced by cold metal transfer (CMT) and plasma surfacing on the basis of AMg5 aluminum–magnesium alloy wire. The samples considered take the form of individual beads applied to the surface. The influence of the direction of ultrasound treatment on the geometric dimensions and macrostructure of the material obtained is analyzed. The experimental findings are compared with the results of preliminary modeling. Ultrasound treatment in surfacing is a promising means of improving the dimensions of the aluminum–magnesium alloy samples produced and lowering the risk of internal defects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
