Focuses on the use of infrequent infusions of methotrexate in childhood acute leukemia. Administration of cytoxan and prednisone to supplement the periodic destruction of leukemic cells; Occurrence of temporary declines of the leukocyte and platelet counts; Evaluation of the nutritional status of patients; Achievement of extensive remissions in most patients. |
