Abstrakt: Small intramural coronary artery dysplasia (SICAD) is ubiquitous in this condition[3], and repetitive microvascular ischemia could be a promoter of interstitial fibrosis - which is present in almost three quarters of HCM patients to varying degrees. This single snapshot in time cannot fully resolve the question of whether microvascular ischemia might be responsible for the patient's symptoms and/or subsequent development of fibrosis in HCM.
