Abstrakt: The acceleration of infrastructure development in Malang, Indonesia, is not in line with the concept of greening the city. These problems cause air pollution, flooding, and global warming. The lack of awareness of the urban community towards environmental conservation aggravates the ecological conditions. Still, in contrast, to the people living in villages, there is a greater emphasis on protecting the environment. Collecting data uses ethnographic methods, making researchers active participants in interviews and field observations. Community-based environmental conservation in Glintung Village in Malang City is a practical solution for urban greening. The study results that the authors present show the green conditions of an environmentally eco-village that are managed through collaboration between communities and managed to minimize environmental damage that has been a scourge in Malang. Thus, the results of this study could be a green design in solving urban environmental problems that the city government has not yet completed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
