The article presents the case report of a patient suffering from progeria. In appearance the child seemed poorly developed and poorly nourished, but she exhibited no distress during the examination. On further diagnosis, the skull appeared grossly abnormal with prominence of the frontal regions. The ears were prominent and low set. The external auditory canals were short and straight; the tympanic membranes had no scars or perforations. The eyes were normal, except for a pterygium on the medial aspect of the left eye. |
