Focuses on the synthesis of silica gels chemically modified with mercapto and disulfide groups and silica gels with mercaptopropyl and amino-propyl groups simultaneously bonded to their surface at different SH:NH molar ratios. Quantitative extraction of gold on silica gel; Ability of the disulfide groups of the sorbent to stabilize the oxidation state of gold on coordination yielding complex compounds that exhibit no inherent luminescence at the surface of the sorbent. |
