In automated manufacturing, cutting process monitoring is vital, because without an operator, significant machine downtime associated with cutting tool failures is possible. The vibroacoustic signal parameters during cutting have long been used as a source of information about the cutting process state. This paper presents the results of the investigation of the spectral composition changes of vibrations over time during the cutting process due to changes in the quality of fastening of cutting inserts and modules of a modular boring tool setup with a large number of elements.
