The report proposes to improve the level of mathematical literacy of graduates of the technical univer-sity by introducing the section "Algebra of Quaternions" and to conduct the presentation of general technical disciplines based on the quaternion apparatus. Such mathematical and general technical training will significantly increase students ' perception of special disciplines when studying methods of analysis and design of modern complex technical systems, which are inherently multidimensional.
