In this paper, we consider translation-invariant Gibbs measures (TIGM) for the Blume-Capel model in the case of a graph of type wand on a Cayley tree of order k ≥ 2. An exact critical value θcr = k+1√ kk(k−1)/2k is found such that for θ ≥ θcr there is a single TIGM, and for θ < θcr there are exactly three TIGMs in the case of a graph of type wand for the model under consideration.
