Abstrakt: Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, careers in medicine were challenging, and the academic journey could be a lonely one. The pandemic presented both challenges and opportunities in mentoring such as utilizing technology to transform formal mentorship programs into those that are beneficial for women and minorities because these programs can offer critical engagement, opportunities to hear and express multiple perspectives, expand our capacity to understand and talk about complex social issues, and meaning-making frameworks.
