The original design sprint is a rigorous five-day innovation process. Our contribution (research in progress) hypothesizes that its outcome can be improved by evaluating the participants’ needs and considering them respectively. As a first step towards this goal, we propose an evaluation framework and discuss its elements that were applied in two design sprints. Such a framework is useful for organizations or facilitators that run a significant number of design sprints. Still, we found that every evaluation attempt set a positive tone to the design sprint team. Online questionnaires are considered a feasible means for many elements of the framework: an individual self-assessment to identify personality traits upfront, daily process assessments, closing assessment and follow-up assessments. The so-called emotional barometer has proven to be simple instantly usable tool which can be brought into practice immediately for every kind of workshop. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
