Climate warming leads to the degradation of permafrost, the destruction of road infrastructure and healthcare facilities, the deterioration in the availability of medical care, and the activation of foci of some infectious diseases. It is necessary to organize microbiological control over animal burial grounds and food storage facilities in permafrost, as well as the development of low-rise construction with autonomous power supply systems. Heatwaves in Arctic cities are risk factors for excess mortality: in the YaNAO, the population is most vulnerable under the age of 25 and over 65, and it is necessary to strengthen preventive work for these age groups.
