Abstrakt: The investigation was undertaken to evaluate the bio-efficacy of various plant oils against the Angoumois grain moth, Sitotroga cerealella (Olivier) in stored wheat in the laboratory of the Department of Entomology, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, during 2021-22 at 30.25 ± 0.25 °C temperature and 75.00 ± 5.06 % relative humidity. All the treatments viz., Brassica juncea L., Sesamum indicum L., Glycine max (L.) Merr., Cocos nucifera L., Arachis hypogea L., Ricinus communis L. and Azadirachta indica (A. Juss) oils were superior to untreated check in controlling the S. cerealella but the efficacy level varied. The treatment A. indica oil @ 7.5 ml/kg (86.67%) was significantly superior followed by A. indica oil @ 5 ml/kg (80.00%), R. communis oil @ 7.5 ml/kg (78.33%) and Ricinus communis oil @ 5 ml/kg (75.00%). Whereas, significantly lowest mortality was noted in B. juncea oil @ 5 ml/kg (55.00%). Therefore, A. indica oil @ 7.5 ml/kg was the most effective and B. juncea oil @ 5 ml/kg was the least effective in controlling the S. cerealella. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
