A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the bioefficacy and phytotoxicity of Novalalron 9.45 % + Lambdacyhalothrin 1.9% ZC against pod borers and leafhoppers infesting pigeon peas during Kharif 2017-19. Treatments were: T1-Novaluron 9.4 5% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 1.9% ZC @ 78 g a.i./ha; T2-Novaluron 9.45% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 1.9% ZC @ 90 g a.i./ha; T3-Novaluron 9.45% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 1.9 % ZC @ 102 g a.i./ha; T4-Novaluron 10% EC @ 75 g a.i./ha; T5-Lambda-cyhalothrin 5% EC @ 25 g a.i./ha; T6-Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 4.6% ZC @ 30 g a.i./ha and T7-Untreated control. The combination product Novaluron 9.45% + Lambda-cyhalothrin 1.9% ZC @ 90 and 102 g a.i./ha were effective in controlling pod borer and leaf hoppers and recorded higher grain yield in pigeon peas. In addition, this compound also proved to be relatively safer against natural enemies and the pigeon pea crop. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
