A study of the heating kinetics in a microwave electromagnetic field was carried out using polymer composite materials on the example of carbon and fiberglass plastics with usage of the physical model of the elementary cell of the material in the carbon and glass rods forms encased in epoxy resin ED-20 with PEPA hardener. The fundamental difference between the heating process of these cells was stated. Thus, for a sample with a graphite rod, intense heating of the central region at the beginning of the microwave exposure takes place. Then a subsequent increase in temperature in the rest of the volume is observed. For a sample with a glass rod, a gradual heating of most of the volume is observed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
