Abstrakt: The study of the Doppler effect was quite difficult to demonstrate quantitatively. The aim of this study is to design a simple experiment using smartphone to visualize the Doppler effect using a pendulum oscillation experiment. The smartphone with tone generator applications as a pendulum were oscillated while the other smartphone with frequency analyser was placed in equilibrium point to record frequency change. The experimental shows that the frequency detected was increasing when the pendulum moves closer to the equilibrium point and decreasing when the pendulum moves away from the equilibrium point. The experiment can thus be used to assist high school students and physics undergraduates in understanding the Doppler effect with a simple and low-cost experiment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
