Identification and classification of sand samas beach Bantul Yogyakarta based on mineral content.

Abstrakt: Indonesia is an archipelago with the fourth longest coastline in the world. Indonesia has a lot of beach sand that can be used. One of the beaches in Indonesia is Samas Beach, Yogyakarta which has dark color beach sand. To be able to take advantage of this abundant resource, it is necessary to know the content and origin of this beach sand. The characterization used is XRF, XRD which is processed using QualX application and Suseptibility. The main content of Samas Beach sand is silicate by 50.47% - 59.9%, iron (III) oxide by 15.51% - 29.07%. Based on the percentage of sand origin samas beach is mafic rocks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
