Development and effectiveness of android-based learning module to improve students' understanding of mathematical concept.

Abstrakt: The aim of this research is to produce an Android-based learning module on the material of flat face three dimensional objects. The type of this research is design research by applying ADDIE development model with five development steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The result of this research is an Android-based learning module application which contain of materials, evaluations, and geometry puzzle games menu. The validation result of the android-based learning module that conducting by 6 expert reviewers that consist of 2 material experts, 2 media experts, and 2 user experts were showed valid without revision predicates. The product has been implemented at SMPN 2 Mantup, Lamongan involved 64 students divided into experiment and control class. Based on the results of student response questionnaires, the use of Android-based learning modules is able to increase learning motivation and make them easier to understand Mathematical concepts. The products also have been proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of Mathematical concept based on the average N-Gain score of 61.19% which included in the middle category. The results of Mann-Whitney test also showed that the average score of students' Mathematical concept understanding in the experiment class is significantly higher than control class.
