Abstrakt: Synthesis and characterization of Fe-N-TiO2 photocatalyst material by sol gel method using polyacrylamide and Polyethylene Glycol templates have been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of single dopant Fe, single dopant N and double dopant Fe-N on the characteristics of TiO2 material with titanium butoxide as a precursor. All materials, namely TiO2, Fe-TiO2, N-TiO2 and Fe-N-TiO2 were synthesized by the sol-gel method using titanium butoxide as TiO2 precursor. Precursor Fe(NO3)3.9H2O was used as Fe dopant and solid CO(NH2)2 as N dopant. The calcination process was carried out at 450oC. The results of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) characterization show that TiO2, Fe-TiO2, N-TiO2 and Fe-N-TiO2 materials have an anatase phase and an optimum particle size at 9.4187 nm. The results of the Diffuse Reflectance UV-Visible (DR-UV) characterization showed a decrease in the band gap (Eg) from 3.1 eV to 2.29 eV. The results of the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) characterization show that the Ti-O, C-O functional group appears at the wave number 620.51 cm-1; 1111.9 cm−1 and 1628.8 cm−1 while the C-H functional group appears at 2371.3 cm−1.
