Abstrakt: The authors analyzed the proposed schemes of pain syndrome therapy in animals with the use of anticonvulsants with consideration of recommended dosages. The data on the availability and effectiveness of various anticonvulsants based on their mechanism of action and possible side effects, as well as the possibility of their use in the context of the national policy on the circulation of medical medicines of the Russian Federation are presented. Based on experimental data on the use of gabapentin and flexoprofen in mono-or multimodal therapy, the clinical efficacy was evaluated. The indicators of electrolyte metabolism in dogs and cats with pain syndrome have been established, which expand and complement the idea of this pathology. New data on the mechanisms of pain syndrome development in dogs and cats were obtained, in particular, the role of anti-inflammatory cytokines was determined: interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alfa) in the formation and manifestation of this pathology. The results obtained allow us to assess the dynamics of the immune status of animals with pain syndrome. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
