Indonesia is known as an earthquake-prone area so it requires a lot of research on earthquakes. With the increasing number of studies, the risk due to earthquakes can be better understood and mapped, especially the risk of damage to important structures in the road network system such as bridges. This study is aimed to acknowledge the behaviour of a concrete bridge due to different types of earthquakes, in accordance of dynamic displacements in the top piers of the bridge. The bridge used to be analyzed is five spans bridge, located in Batuceper – Kunciran (CBK Toll Road) in the Tangerang area. The configuration of the bridge is simple span structure system, multiple superstructure spans and single pillar columns with circular cross section. Earthquake loads applied to the bridge in the form of ground motion from the Mentawai Earthquake, El-Centro Earthquake, Lampung Earthquake, and Tangerang Earthquake. Results show that the pattern and the symmetric of the structure affect the patterns of the dynamic displacements of the top piers of the bridge. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
