Bricks take part in important role in the construction field and by using the bricks the cost of construction will be less compared with the usage of concrete materials. Now-a-days many modern bricks are manufactured based on it is own specialization and those are used for particular usages. The IB brick has fly ash, coal ash and lime as its material so that when adding water to the brick continuously which may subject to hydration process. In this paper the bricks are subjected to varying temperatures and the constant duration. After that the properties are analysed in each cycle and also the value compared to conventional bricks. The main scope is to identify the behaviour of the sustainable material in making IB brick when it is subjected to varying temperature. The mechanical properties and durability of IB brick is studied and discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
