The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem-solving and cooperative learning models on the affective aspects and social interactions of students learning chemical equilibrium. This study was conducted using an experimental method which involves comparing an experimental class that used the models with a control class that used the problem solving learning model. The population includes three high schools in Surakarta, Central Java, with data on affective values and social interactions obtained through questionnaires and observations. The results showed that the problem-solving and cooperative learning models in the form of Investigation Through Cooperative Problem Solving (ITCPS) learning model provided better affective aspects and social interactions than the problem solving model in learning chemical equilibrium.
