Pressure-drop and production rate simulation from well to gathering station.

Abstrakt: The subject field is an on-shore field. There are 18 wells have been drilled in this field; 16 wells are oil wells, two wells are gas wells, and five wells out of 18 wells are shut-in wells. In this study, the two-phase flow correlation is utilized for the pipeline pressure-drop, even though a couple of pipelines are gas pipelines. In terms of pipeline network, this field has five pipeline clusters; which are from one, three, and several wells; two gathering stations, and one support station. A simulation of the pressure-drop from bottom hole to wellhead for each producing well, and from wellhead to the cluster and then gathering stations have been carried out; by using a production engineering software. Thus, initially, the fluid-flow simulations are carried out in each well, then followed by a simulation for the surface pipeline network. The deviation of this simulation is quite good, which is below 10 with an average deviation of 5.19. The result of the study is satisfactory and should be followed by production optimization.
