The article focuses on the increase of English-medium instruction (EMI) in higher education institutions worldwide and it impact on classroom interaction. It reports that EMI programs have seen significant growth despite the COVID-19 pandemic, with the majority of programs offered in the European Higher Education Area region. It mentions that the implementation of EMI programs presents challenges in terms of language proficiency and student participation in classroom discussions. |
