The article discusses the integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) approach of growing food in nature-like water to improve productivity and reduce environmental impact in 2023. Topics covered include the feasibility of growing deposit-feeding sea cucumbers in the IMTA system, and three commercial species of sea cucumbers with different feeding modes. Also noted are some barriers of adding sea cucumbers to already existing farms. |
