Land conversion is something that cannot be avoided as a consequence of development in an area. One of the land conversions that often occurs is the conversion of agricultural land to non-agriculture. Ngemplak Subdistrict in Boyolali Regency is one of the areas experiencing conversion of agricultural land to non-agriculture. Land conversion that occurs in this area is dominated by housing developments. This study aims to determine the socio-economic impact of the conversion of agricultural land into settlements on the condition of farmer households in Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency. The primary data collection method is obtained by interviewing farmers and documentation, while the secondary data required is in the form of multispectral images of themaxim technology and Geo Eye-1 imagery obtained from SAS Planet. Land use change analysis was carried out by digitizing on screen using multispectral images from maxim technology and Geo Eye-1 images obtained from SAS Planet. Meanwhile, the socio-economic impact analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner, which aims to describe and describe the data from the classification of affected and unaffected farmer households. The results of the research show that the impact felt by farmers in villages with high land conversion intensity is more than that in villages with low intensity. In general, the impact felt by farmers, both farmers in villages with high and low intensity of agricultural land conversion, namely lower job opportunities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
