Abstrakt: Interventional radiology examinations contribute significantly to the collective dose from medical exposure in the Russian Federation. The aim of the current study was to develop a method for effective dose estimation for pediatric nonvascular gastrointestinal, biliary and tracheobronchial interventional examinations. Effective doses were estimated for children of 0- and 1-year age groups using two approaches: considering the movement of the X-ray tube during the interventional radiology examination (multi-field model) and by modeling the patient exposure with a single field (single field model). Effective doses for children of 0-year age group varied from 0,1 to 22,0 mSv per examination, for children of 1-year age groups - from 0,2 to 5,9 mSv per examination. No significant differences were observed estimating effective doses using multi-field model and single field model. The conversion coefficients were estimated for children of 0- and 1-year age groups. No statistical differences were identified between the conversion coefficients calculated using tissue weighting coefficients from the ICRP Publications 60 and 103. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
