The presence of UAVs or drones in the world of agriculture has brought various conveniences and efficiencies to farmers and planters. In its application, drones are not only tasked with assisting farmers in spraying fertilizers or pesticide liquids, but also to provide high-resolution mapping that can provide information related to soil health, soil conditions in more detail, and small-scale mapping that can provide information regarding the effectiveness of pesticide use and its effect on soil and plants. One of the innovations carried out by the Aeronautic Technology Center is research on drone precision farming. In this research, a conceptual design of a drone will be presented which is applied to carry a camera that will be used to monitor plants more intelligently (efficiently, quickly, and measurably). In addition, there will also be the implementation of an optical sensor that is used to measure plant or soil fertility (normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI)), the concept of a wireless sensor network to collect data on measuring parameters and then send it to a server for data processing, the concept of big data to be used as the basis for analysis of decision-making systems, and smart operations for precision agriculture.
