This review discusses the physiological mechanisms underlying the phenomenon of cross-adaptation of humans and animals to harmful and stress factors – this is an important task, given the prospects for applying approaches to inducing cross-tolerance in the framework of adaptive and preventive medicine. The review briefly summarizes the main types of cross-adaptation to various adverse factors and the types of actions that lead to its formation. The accumulated literature and own data on the possible molecular bases underlying the formation of cross-adaptation and cross-resistance are summarized. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
