Optimizing the use of smartphones to success study from home during pandemic Covid-19 era.

Abstrakt: As Sholihin Islamic Boarding School is one of the educational institutions. The students are diverse, ranging from elementary, middle, and high school children. The arrival of COVID-19 has forced students who attend formal education to adapt by using smartphones as learning media. The initial condition of using smartphones shows that 93% of respondents already have smartphones. However, only 7% of respondents use it to do assignments. While as many as 83% still use it to access social media. Therefore, this study aims to optimize the use of smartphones as learning media. Optimization begins by identifying the current state of smartphone utilization. Identifying the form of smartphone use is the second step. The last is the evaluation of the results of the assistance. As a result, the use of smartphones as online learning media increased by 86%, from 7% to 93% initially. The form of optimizing the use of smartphones includes the use of smartphones as teachers, playmates, and creative media. As many as 100% of respondents revealed that knowledge about how to use applications such as zoom and google classroom made them confident to optimize the use of smartphones.
