Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is increasing dramatically in the learning process during pandemic Covid-19. Meanwhile, study of physics necessitates the students to have laboratory activities in terms of learning some theories, especially on the kinetic theory of gases. Inevitably, the pandemic Covid-19 urges students to be familiar with ICT. This study aimed to built the virtual laboratory applications which help students to improve learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design. The virtual laboratory android application was evaluated by several educational media experts and physics experts before being used for learning. The android virtual laboratory application was applied to 66 high school students in class XI to measure student learning outcomes. Our study shows that developing an android virtual laboratory application on the material of kinetic gas theory is helpful for students to learn physics. Student learning outcomes were measured based on the revised bloom taxonomy, namely remembering, understanding, applying, and analyzing. Most students are interested in learning by means of virtual laboratory applications. Thus, we successfully built the virtual laboratory applications which help students to improve learning outcomes.
