A landslide is a catastrophic downward movement of dirt and rock. Earthquakes, severe rains, volcanic eruptions, and soil erosion are common causes. It could result in injury, death, or property damage, all of which could result in financial loss. It is critical to detect landslides before they occur in order to prevent massive destruction. A wireless sensor network is often made up of sensor nodes that are scattered across a large area. Sensor nodes can connect wirelessly with one another and collect data regarding changes in physical factors such as temperature, pressure, and so on. Sensor nodes have limited resources such as power and sense, thus they must be used efficiently to increase a network's lifetime. We employ the LEACH protocol for clustering and the AODV protocol for routing in this paper. NS-2 is a program that anticipates the behavior of computer networks in order to give reliable system performance assessments. The purpose of this article is to analyze the existing system's performance using a network simulator. Energy economy, throughput, and packet delivery ratio, overhead and delay have all improved with the upgraded system. The system also has capabilities such as fault tolerance, faster data processing, and a longer transmission range. The NS-2 simulation is used to create an upgraded wireless sensor network for landslide detection in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
