Abstrakt: A cubic pyrochlore-structured bismuth copper tantalate with formula Bi3Cu2Ta3O14 (BCT) was effectively synthesized using solid-state reaction at 950°C lasting about 6 hours. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) approach validated the single phase of BCT since all diffraction peaks were fully indexed according to Fd3m, identical to α-Bi3Zn2Ta3O14 (BZT) analogue. Bi-O stretching, Ta-O stretching, and Cu-O stretching produce absorption peaks at 490 cm−1, 520 cm−1, as well as 552 cm−1, accordingly in the Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrum. The sample's grain size ranges from 6 µm to 20 µm, as per scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs. It has huge, well-defined grains that are tightly packed, as well as some pores on the surface. Ac impedance spectroscopy was used to identify the BCT's electrical property. The electrical conductivity for measurements at the frequency (a) 50 Hz to 1 MHz, (b) 50 Hz to 5 MHz, and (c) 100 Hz to 5 MHz were specified to be 2.9274 x 10−9 S/m, 2.7364 x 10−9 S/m, and 3.7655 x 10−9 S/m, accordingly, at room temperature.
