Research of nanomodified Portland cement systems.

Abstrakt: The effect of modification of Portland cement matrix at micro- and nanolevel with polycarboxylate superplastisizer, carbon nanotubes and microsilica on mechanical properties and microstructure is estimated. The addition of polycarboxylate superplastisizer, high reactive microsilica and carbon nanotubes provides increasing of flexural strength of Portland cement paste to 18.4 MPa, compressive strength to 86.3 MPa and crack resistance coefficient to 0.213 after 28 days. Nanomodified Portland cement system characterizes by rapid strength development (Rc2/Rc28=0.71) and high 28-days strength (Rc28=69.4 MPa) according to standard test. Increasing the physical and mechanical characteristics of nanomodified Portland cement systems determines the improvement of structural performance and the development of new applications of concrete.
