Abstrakt: The high rate of road damage requires solving. The compaction factor has an important role in determining pavement performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of compaction energy on asphalt concrete wearing course (ACWC) performance. This research method used Marshall parameter analysis. Marshall parameters include stability, flow, void in the mix (VIM), void in mineral aggregate (VMA), void filled by asphalt (VFA), and Marshall quotient (MQ). In the laboratory scale, compaction energy was simulated by the number of blows. The number of compaction is 50 to 95 blows with an interval of 5 blows. The results showed that greater compaction energy corresponds to greater asphalt mixture stability. Compaction of 75 blows impacts or more provides the specification needed to meet the requirements of heavy traffic specification. Compaction below and above 75 blows is not recommended as it does not meet heavy traffic specifications and risks faster accumulation of road damage. Based on the Marshall parameter, compaction with 75 blows provides the best performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
