Abstrakt: A thermistor mount is a thermal radiofrequency (RF) power sensor that related to room temperature conditions. A precise measurement of the thermistor mount depends on the stability of ambient temperature. The unstable fluctuation of ambient temperature contributed to considerable measurement uncertainty of calibration factor (CF) of thermistor mount. A temperature control system is used to decrease the measurement uncertainty. The temperature control system consists of several devices, namely a heating block, a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller, Peltier elements, a temperature sensor, and a circulation of water. The design resulted in a stable temperature, and the fluctuation is kept stable around ± 0.1°C. Measurement repeatability of RF power of thermistor mount was much better by using the temperature control system. Measurement uncertainty of the CF was decreased from 0.045 to 0.020 in the range up to 18 GHz. The temperature control system has improved the measurement uncertainty of the CF of the thermistor mount. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
