Natural fibres are attracting more attention because of its good properties and better performance. The synthetic fibres or artificial fibres that are used in many applications have many advantages over natural fibres. But the artificial fibres are not good for the ecosystem, non-degradable and cannot be recycled. The drawbacks of synthetic fibres and good mechanical properties of natural fibres makes them a replacement for artificial fibres. The natural fibres can be used for reinforcement of polymers and some other materials. The NFRP composites have better strength. Natural fibres also have many drawbacks such as high moisture absorption, poor thermal stability etc. In manufacturing, the natural fibre faces many problems like poor stability, poor temperature resistance, etc. By choosing the appropriate chemical treatments and manufacturing methods, the natural fibre properties can be enhanced and used in many applications.
