Abstrakt: The blend of two or more materials together is known as composite material. This paper presents the mechanical properties of sugarcane fibre and coconut fibre laminates, prepared using compression moulding. The main aim is to determine the properties of fibres such as tensile strength, impact resistance and flexural bending (3-point bend) properties. The usage of composite materials has seen a significant boost in the past decade in industries including aerospace, aeronautical, automobile, electronics and many more. The outcome of this work was obtained using Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and Pendulum Impact Tester (Charpy Test). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
