Energy is the basic need for growth of the industrialization and liberalization of the economy of any country. In this context the energy sources are used more in fossil sources, Due to the current depletion rate of fossil fuel alternative energy sources should be produced to overcome this problem. One of these new alternative energy sources is bio-fuel which can compensate for the shortage of liquid diesel. But the combustion of bio-fuel (pine oil biodiesel) in compression ignition engines produces lower CO and unburnt HC Emission compared to diesel fuel but higher oxides of nitrogen emission. To control the NOx emission one of the emission control technologies is exhaust gas recirculation technique, its aim exhaust gases to be recirculated back into the tank manifold. By using this method leads to a considerable reduction in NOx emission because it reduces the two elements essential its production oxygen in excess and combustion temperature. In this experiment we found a reduction of NOx emission at a higher rate take place at15% exhaust gas recirculation compared to others such as 0%, 10%, and 20%. Not only were emissions reduced but also performance parameters of the engine were increased compared to base engines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
