For the initial orbit determination of uncharted space objects, the operation method for obtaining three or more streak images was proposed and a design parameter analysis of a narrow field of view optical observation system was performed for this purpose. The proposed operational concept consists of repetitive forms of point tracking, streak center point prediction, mount gimbal maneuver, and streak image acquisition for unknown space objects. The central point prediction was performed using Kalman Filter based on a constant acceleration model and analysis was performed in terms of telescope mount gimbal maneuver and stabilization performance by fixing the exposure time for streak shooting. As a result of the simulation for the entire optical observation system, the ratio of the error value defined from the telescope center point to the streak center point is within 2% with respect to FOV. Consecutive streak images can be reliably obtained using the proposed system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
