This article focuses on the utilization of raw materials in metallurgical production. In the industrial sphere (at the level of industrial companies), sustainable growth can be achieved with more effective environmental controls. In this scenario, investments are made, industrial strategy is planned, and corporate changes are instituted so as to increase the value of the company while reducing the consumption of resources, production waste, and pollution. Ferrous metallurgy is the fourth-most polluting sector in industry. Most of the wastes (88%) generated at factories in the sector are categorized as a class V hazard. The remaining wastes products are class IV. |
