In this article, the study of occasional words in Russian and Uzbek linguistics describes the specific characteristics of occasional words: dependence on speech (text), creativity, perception of the correctness or incorrectness of occasional words, the relationship between an occasional word and the linguistic norm, the one-time use of occasional words, the occasional expressiveness of words, nonobligatory nomination, and synchronic and diachronic confusion of occasional words.
