Growth despite (major) disruption: Curricular innovations in a small German program.

Abstrakt: It is no secret that German programs are under threat. This multiple literacies-based curriculum caters to the number of German majors at our institution who are double majors by allowing for creativity in matching student interest with course content. In academic year 2021-2022, my colleague and I took major steps to augment the German curriculum, addressing institutional pressure because of declining enrollments (overall and program specific), with an eye toward meeting our current students' needs.
