Recent large-sample customer surveys in Europe, for instance, show about 60 percent of customers are open to purchasing adjacent - that is, ecosystem - services from retailers and telecommunications operators (exhibit). These value propositions helped build much deeper customer relationships and more frequent customer engagement through new digital-service offerings.
