The problem on the natural vibrations of the liquid column in the production string of a vertical oil well in a stratum, arising as a result of a sudden opening-out or a sudden closing-in of the well, was considered. A mathematical model of the dynamics of the liquid column in such a well communicating with the stratum through the permeable walls of the open section of the well and through a hydraulic fracture made in the stratum, has been constructed. On the basis of this model, the analytical solutions, defining the damped natural oscillations of the pressure and the velocity of a liquid flow in an oil well sank in a stratum subjected to a hydraulic fracturing, caused by the viscous forces acting near the walls of the well as well as by the filtration processes occurring in the bottomhole zone of the stratum, have been obtained. A comparative analysis of the results of calculations of the dynamics of the liquid column in such a well and the corresponding field data has shown that the frequency characteristics of the liquid flow in a well in a stratum subjected to a hydraulic fracturing and the rate of damping of the natural oscillations of the velocity of this flow furnish the intensional information on the collector characteristics of the bottomhole zone of the stratum and on the quality of its hydraulic fracturing.
