Abstrakt: A cone-in-cone rotational viscometer is used to produce thrombosis in vitro at 110 sec.-1. Blood viscosity and coagulation times (the rate of thrombus formation in vitro) are compared in men with recent myocardial infarction and in healthy volunteers of similar age range. No significant difference is observed. No correlation is found between coagulation times at 110 sec. -1 and hematocrit, blood viscosity, platelet counts, tests of platelet function and serum cholesterol. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
