The disaster emergency response period is a critical phase. It determines the success of recovery and the process of a return to normality in a post-disaster life. Immediate services must be provided for disaster victims, including logistics and aid distribution. During the emergency response period of the 2016 Pidie Jaya Earthquake, post-disaster aid and logistic distribution have been organized. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of logistic distribution and explores the associated factors that affected the process of distribution. Using a four-point Likert scale questionnaire, a questionnaire survey has been conducted. The respondents of the survey consisted of stakeholders, humanitarian volunteers and the inhabitants of Pidie Jaya. The results show that the effectiveness of logistic distribution during the emergency response period of 2016 Pidie Jaya Earthquake has been established a good performance. It is considered that the experiences in Pidie Jaya can be applied as a lesson learned to similar situations in different areas in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
