In this paper, Design Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) ring fed shaped G antenna multiband for wireless applications is presented and discussed. Dielectric substrate material (FR4) with a relative permittivity value of 4.3, loss tangent 0.02, thickness 1.6 mm was used as a substrate material in the antenna design. 50-ohm microstrip feed line characteristic impedance is used in the proposed antenna design. The Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method is used to simulate the antenna design in the 2-7 GHz frequency range. The simulation results for the CPW Ring antenna produce frequencies of 2.4 GHz, bandwidth 148 MHz, Return Loss value: -36.37, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) value: 1.03. The G Shape dimensions introduced on the geometry will also decide the working of antenna as multiband operation. The addition of a G-shaped stripe in the ring, especially at the value of the strip line length (b) 15 mm, appears at a frequency of 2.2 GHz with bandwidth 33 MHz, Return Loss value: -16.25, VSWR value:1.36 and a frequency of 3.47 GHz with bandwidth 216 MHz Return Loss value: -24.77, VSWR value: 1.22. This frequency is used for WLAN and 4th generation LTE-A. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
