Numerical result free vibration of FGM plate using DST-BL element.

Abstrakt: The current development generally uses composite materials, which are a combination of several materials and laminated into a single unit. However, this composite material has the disadvantage that is the discontinuity of the interface properties of the layer that causes stress concentrations to occur at high temperatures. Therefore, FGM (Functionally Graded Material) material emerged, which aims to provide a solution to the lack of laminated composite materials. FGM material is a material consisting of two or more materials. In this paper, we will present a free vibration analysis on the FGM plate using DST-BL (Discrete Shear Triangle – Batoz Lardeur) elements. The DST-BL element is a triangular element generalized from the DKT (Discrete Kirchhoff Triangle) element developed using the ANS (Assumed Natural Shear) method. The results of free vibration on a square plate by using DST-BL element are presented for different mesh configurations. DST – BL element give good result compared to the reference solution.
